Now that you’ve chosen to learn with one of the leading driving schools in Nottingham, let’s explain to you what to do next.

First of all you need to apply for your provisional driving licence. To do this, click this link and follow the instructions: https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence

Next is to make sure that your eyesight is up to scratch. You must be able to read a number plate fromĀ  20 metres away.

Then it’s time to get booked in. You can contact me by calling 07787 951113 or filling out the contact form (link here). When calling try to have all your available time slots to hand so you can discuss with me when we can fit you in for lessons. If you have a rota or a timetable try to have this to hand. Lessons are available to and from your home or from any other pickup or drop-off point as long as it is within reason and prearranged.

The next thing required is for you to go onto the Government’s website and create a share code. This code should be then passed on to me along with the last eight digits of your driving licence number. This allows me to view your driving licence record for information like penalty points on your licence, entitlements, and to make sure that you are not disqualified. Click here to go to the government’s website: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

Once this is done I will send a confirmation text message with the date and time of your first lesson.

On the day of your first lesson you will need to bring with you your photocard driving licence, any glasses you may need to wear, some sensible footwear and payment for that lesson. At the beginning of the lesson, your driving license will be checked and an eyesight test will be given and payment taken. During this lesson future bookings can be made so do bring any schedules rotas or diaries you may need.

The next thing to happen is you learn to drive, become a great driver, pass your driving test and open up doors to a whole new world after achieving such an important life skill. Happy days!!
